Grainline Lark T Maxi Dress

So....we were told to wear WINTER FLORALS to the wedding celebration.  Found this ITY in my stash that has spider mums, I think, close enough.

Not my favorite dress in the world, but neckline was good, winter florals...check, maxi...check, comfortable....check.

For my records, cut a 16 on top, blending to an 18 waist down, could have been smaller in the waist.  In fact, I ended up putting in 2 fisheye darts in the back as it was too big back there, even though it wasn't on the T muslin....same fabric, so guessing the length somehow did this?!?!  Anyway, darts worked.  But next time, try a 16 all around or 14 on top blending to a 16 waist down.  Also, I have already reduced the width of the sleeves on a 16 pattern.

P.S. I made the necklace.....hand knotted 3 strands of dyed blue jasper.....and, guess what my neck looked like when I got home.....totally BLUE.  The dye came off on me.  Gonna wash them and see if the necklace survives, fi not....in the trash it goes.  

Earrings....cheap Michaels dangly things.  I like them, they matched, but going to put them on different loops.
