Grainline Lark T

2nd attempt at a maxi/column dress for George's wedding celebration.  This time, a Lark T.....which I think works better than the Vogue pattern in the previous post.  This shoots straight down instead of hanging from the girls.  There is, also, not as much fabric making it look like a mumu.

I really like this boatneck, but am going to do the scoop for the actual dress, as I like having a neckline binding rather than turn under and coverstitch (for the dress....it's fine for a T.)

For my records, this is an ITY from FabricMart, bought many years ago. I cut a size 16 on top, blending to an 18 from the waist down.  I am going to do the same for the dress, but in the future.....try a straight 16 and see what happens! OR try a 14 on top, blending to a 16 at bust, if possible, then an 18 at hips? The sleeve is too wide at the bottom, need to narrow. (Just give it a shot, Nancy, what do you have to lose besides a little  fabric from your mountain of a stash!!!)
