Kwik Sew 2589 Camisole

This was a tester/muslin in a poly satin from Michael Levine's Loft in LA. I paid almost nothing for it.  I made a robe, that I forgot to blog about, but should because it came out pretty well!  Anywho......this is wearable, but needs work.

It probably needs an FBA to bring in the gapping on the sides and the middle of the neckline.  It needs to be a LOT longer. And I think, the straps, which I shortened, need to be longer.  Here is what I don't like about the pattern:
1.  the back straps are supposed to be tacked to the top of the facing...I would prefer it to be enclosed in the seam between the back and the back facing.
2.  I don't really like how narrow the bias facing is.  In fact, I think if I ever attempt this pattern again, I will cut 2 front and backs and make a full  lining OR hand hem the facing.  I just don't like the stitching around the top....would look so much nicer without it.

Even though my measurements put me in a solid XL, this is a Large and it would be just fine if the bust area fit.  I find Kwik Sew to run large, so makes sense.
