Sew House Seven Toaster Sweater V2
So, this is running through the WWW like the flu!
I also lengthened it by 5"...not a fan of tummy baring fashion. The 5" does cover my rear end, but perhaps I need to make it 4" instead.
Ultimately, I went back and cut it down to a size L and, by and large, it works, but problems:
1. need a small FBA
2. armholes are too low, stifling movement, so need to shorten.
All in all, think this might be a good pattern, but am going to have to work with it some more.
Also, I really like V.1's high neck and raglan sleeves (but don't like waistband or cuffs, so need to combine with V.2's high/low hem and straight sleeves, which I always push up to 3/4 sleeves.
According to the pattern and my measurements, I needed to cut an XL for bust and waist, and a L in the hips. If going by my high bust, then I could cut a L and do an FBA. Of course, I didn't WANT to go find the instructions for a no dart FBA, so cut a straight XL. And, guess what, it didn't really fit.
I used some crappy poly/lycra from FabricMart to test it out. Maybe I can use it for walking in the morning when it is still cool outside, don't really like it, kind of plasticy feeling.
